Next release preview!!!

Imagine for a second that you have the possibility to command your own aircraft on a low altitude flight over the surface of Mars. This is what you will be able to experience with the next release of The Planets Explorer.

Thanks to the high quality pictures sent by NASA mission "Mars Global Surveyor", and the Mars altimetry data collected by the Laser Altimeter on board the Mars Orbiter (MOLA), we have been able to reconstruct, with unprecedent quality and resolution, the entire surface of Mars, with its canyons and volcanoes, its craters and valleys, with astounding realism.

Just have a look to these videos, captured directly from the screen. Imagine the same in full screen. Imagine yourself controlling the flight with simple mouse actions, deciding go right or left, up or down, faster or slower. You can do all of this in real time. The videos show the area of Mars called "Valles Marineris", a huge canyon system (Great Colorado Canyon is extremely small in comparison).

Current customers of The Planets Explorer will benefit from special discounts if they decide to upgrade to the new edition when released.
